Chrome ore is directly used in three major industries: metallurgy, foundry and chemical industry.

Requirements for chrome ore used in the foundry industry:
1. Fine ore.
2. The particle size should not be too fine to be relatively coarse grained.
3. The silicon content is not more than 1.5%, the lower the better, the less than 0.5%.
4. The content of chromium trioxide is at least 42% and more than 44%.

Requirements for chrome ore for chemical industry:
1. Fine ore. It does not have strict requirements on the content of fine particles.
2. Silica content is less than 1%.
3. Iron content tries to be low.
4. Chromium trioxide tries to be high, 43%, 44% or more.

The content of iron chromate and other chromium trioxide requires at least 32%, and the content of phosphorus and sulfur cannot be too high, especially phosphorus. Ferrochrome ratio exceeds 1.3.
From the above three application fields, it can be known that the corresponding plants are: foundry, chromate plant, ferrochrome plant.

To improve the grade of chrome ore from chrome washing plant, we can use spiral chute and shaking table to get the chrome ore concentrate.
