The global distribution of gold mines is very extensive, but the grade of gold mines is not high, most of which are below 2 grams per ton, and the ore containing more than 5 grams of gold per ton can be called rich ore. In order to extract gold from ore, we need a variety of beneficiation methods, involving many gold preparation equipment, we will introduce them in this article.

1. Gravity beneficiation method

A. Gold ore gravity separation

The gravity separation of gold ore is to use the density difference between gold and associated gangue to create separation conditions. With the help of the medium fluid, the ores of different densities are loosened and layered.

Gravity separation is mostly an auxiliary process in gold beneficiation, which is suitable for recovering coarse-grained gold and pre-selecting it before flotation and cyanidation.

B. Gravity gold processing equipment

In the re-selection process, the re-selection equipment we can use includes jig, shaking table, spiral chute, etc.

Jig machine is good at separating coarse-grained minerals. Under the condition of large specific gravity difference and dissociation of ore particles, it is very suitable for placer gold selection, with simple operation and large processing capacity.

Shakers are good at sorting fine-grained minerals. According to the size of the ore to be separated, the size of 0.5-2mm is called coarse sand bed, the size of 0.074-0.5mm is called fine sand bed, and the size of 0.037-0.074mm is called ore. mud bed.

The spiral chute is suitable for the treatment of fine gold ore with low mud content, and the ore particles between 0.03-0.6mm are sorted. The comprehensive cost of the spiral chute is relatively low.

2. Flotation method

A. Gold ore flotation

Flotation is the method used by most rock gold mines, and the selected gold concentrate can be sent to a smelter for smelting. In recent years, the technology of flotation in my country has become more and more sophisticated. According to the survey results of more than 40 gold processing plants, the recovery rate of flotation of sulfide ore is 90-97%, and the recovery rate of oxide ore is 75-85%.

B. Gold flotation equipment

The flotation equipment used in gold selection is mainly aspirated agitated flotation machine and aerated agitated flotation machine. Generally speaking, for small and medium-sized ore dressing plants, if the aeration volume is not large, they choose suction agitated flotation machine or aerated flotation machine equipped with a slurry suction tank; large gold dressing plants still choose aerated agitated flotation machine. it is good.

The suction-agitation flotation machines include SF-type flotation machine, BF-type flotation machine, etc., and air-filled agitation flotation machines include KYF-type flotation machine, XCF-type flotation machine, etc.

3. Chemical processing method

A. Gold mineralization

The chemical beneficiation methods of gold ore mainly include amalgamation method and cyanidation method. The amalgamation method is relatively old and is suitable for the use of coarse-grained single gold, but the pollution is relatively large and has been gradually replaced. There are two cyanidation methods, stirring cyanidation and percolation cyanation.

B. Chemical and gold processing equipment

The chemical method is used to select gold ore, mainly cyanidation method, and the equipment used includes zinc powder replacement device, leaching and stirring tank, etc. Zinc powder replacement device is a device that replaces gold mud from leaching solution with zinc powder.

The leaching stirring tank is a device for stirring ore pulp. When the ore particle size is below 200 mesh and the solution concentration is below 45%, a suspension can be formed, the concentration of dissolved gold in the adsorption tank can be increased, and the leaching time can be accelerated.
