The grinding efficiency of Hengchang Mining Machinery wet ball mill has a direct impact on the beneficiation efficiency. There are three major factors that affect the grinding efficiency of the wet ball mill, which will be analyzed in detail below.
1. Loading of steel balls (grinding media)
There is no formula for the loading of steel balls that can be directly calculated. Generally, according to the volume of the mill, the loading of steel balls should be such that the distance from the horizontal surface of the ball stone to the center line of the mill is 0.16 times the radius of the mill. In terms of weight, the loading of steel balls should be 1 to 1.5 times the weight of raw materials.
2. Mineral loading
1) When the loading amount of the steel ball is unchanged, reducing the loading amount of the mineral material is to reduce the action of the steel ball, which is equivalent to correspondingly increasing the loading amount of the steel ball.
2) When the diameter of the ball mill is unchanged, reducing the loading of the mineral material in the mill is equivalent to increasing the remaining space in the mill, that is, increasing the normal movement of the steel ball in the mill.
3. Add water
The amount of water added by the wet ball mill generally depends on the use of the mineral, the amount of clay in the formulation and the size of the clay’s water absorption value. When the amount of clay in the formula fluctuates between 9% and 32% and the water absorption value of the clay used fluctuates between 0.35 and 0.64 g / g, the amount of water added to the wheel mud is preferably 66 to 68%. The amount of water added to the grouting mud is controlled within the range of 35 ~ 38%.
If the amount of water added is too much, the raw materials are too dispersed, which will relatively reduce the chance of interaction between the steel balls and the raw material particles, weaken the impact of the steel balls, and thus reduce the grinding efficiency. If the amount of water added is too small, it is impossible to form a fluid slurry.
In the beneficiation production line, the wet ball mill is the key beneficiation equipment for material crushing and crushing. Its grinding particle size directly affects the beneficiation efficiency and quality of the subsequent flotation process.
